We are looking for senior software engineers in our data engineering team at R
etention Science. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be leading ReSci's eff
orts in building scalable backend services and real time data pipelines that s
upport over 350 million users and thousands of events per second. You will be
a driving force in supporting and scaling ReSci's data infrastructures. Your d
esigns and code will bring in data to power Cortex, our core product -- an AI
marketing platform that makes over three billion machine learning predictions
daily, across over 350 million users, to execute marketing campaigns for some
of the most iconic brands on the planet, including Procter & Gamble, SK-II, Gi
llette, Filson, Olay ... and many more.

In addition to having meaningful influence on our product designs and decision
s, you will also receive comprehensive exposure to all aspects of our technolo
gies and businesses. The code and ideas that you contribute will have a tangib
le impact on the team, company, and marketing-tech industry as a whole.

You will:
Lead development efforts in building, maintaining, and scaling micro services
and pipelines written in Scala and Python.
Collaborate extensively with other engineering teams and PMs on major projects
that involve scaling and feature development.
Scale our ETL framework to support data processing in technologies such as Spa
rk, Athena, Snowflake … etc.
Architect real time pipeline using technologies like Kinesis, Lambda, SQS … e
tc.
Manage and implement scalable monitoring and escalation strategies across our
systems.
Act as a technical architect and elegantly separate domain models to ensure pa
rtner complexity doesn't leak into our app.
Work and play with many cutting edge technologies such as AWS Lambda, Kinesis,
SQS, RDS, Dynamo, Athena, Snowflake, Spark, Flink, HDFS, S3, ElasticSearch, E
CS/Fargate, Presto, Cadence/Temporal, Serverless Framework, Docker, Terraform
... and many more.

Qualifications:
5+ year software engineering experience (data engineering preferred).
Experience in Scala and Python or can pick up the languages quickly.
Experience in technologies including AWS Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, Athena, Spark,
Flink, HDFS, S3, ECS/Fargate, Presto, Cadence/Temporal, Serverless Framework,
Docker, Terraform … etc.
Experience designing and implementing real time pipelines and microservices.
Experience scaling large databases and data intensive applications.
Experience in creating clean and robust RESTful APIs.
Deep understanding of MySQL, Snowflake, ElasticSearch, Dynamo and other databa
ses.
Expert in designing fault-tolerant systems.

的確壓榨台灣人的薪資結構應該是被嗆活該啦, 但是五年經驗這個薪資我也不覺得有低到哪裡去, 也很難拿global pay來當標準, 當然如果你是強者就值得更多啦
