Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties Includes the following (other duties may be assigned or removed upon requirement):
· Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
· Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
· Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
· Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
· Aid in development of mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
· Help develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
· Ensure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
· Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
· Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups or managers.
· Ability to provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
· Ability to attain and maintain state of the art knowledge of all Pegatron technology product and industry trends.
· Ability to investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.
· Strong listening, oral and written communication skills, ability to motivate.
· Able to plan, direct and delegate work to others.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills as well as administrative management skills.
· Ability to develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing, IT Engineering (or similar engineering discipline/relevant education concentration) – highly preferred.
