Unity Microelectronics, Inc. (UMI) is the USA-based sales and marketing
division of Unity Opto Technology founded in Taipei, Taiwan.
Unity has designed and manufactured optoelectronic devices since 1993 and has
the engineering capability to develop and manufacture custom lighting
assemblies.

Job Overview

UMI is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Accounting
Specialist. This position’s primary responsibility is general accounting and
bookkeeping responsibilities to maintain and record business transactions for
UMI. This candidate must have good written and verbal communications skills.
Responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, accounts
receivable, accounts payable, generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly
financial reports and sales reports for UMI. The Accounting Specialist will
report to the Plano based CEO and work on special projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in an
accounting function and experience working with Peachtree accounting software.

This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary plus a quarterly
bonus plan. Benefits include medical, dental insurance, and life insurance

accrued vacation and sick leave.

Job Requirements
‧ At least three years of in accounting and full charge bookkeeping
‧ Self-starter who is strongly motivated, exercises initiative and takes
ownership of projects - start to finish
‧ Proactive attitude with the desire to identify solutions to problems in the face of limited resources
‧ Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, prioritize, and meet
deadlines
‧ Ability to follow through to completed tasks and effectively report outcome
‧ Good written and verbal communications skills
‧ Proficient in using Word, Excel, and Outlook
‧ Experience working with Peachtree accounting software
‧ Work in the Plano, Texas Headquarters
