RF Software Engineer will help design software and implement enabling technologies for our next generation of world-class smartphone devices. The ideal candidate is confident in technical judgment and insight, eager to learn and is comfortable discussing ideas and working in a team environment. You must be able to manage your time among concurrent projects and be a team player.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Design implementation and optimization of RF performance for smartphone devices.
o Board bringups, RF calibration, RF test tools development, and factory support.
o Modem power consumption optimization.
o Troubleshooting and finding root cause of RF/Power issues.
Qualifications:
o High level of competence with C or C++ is required.
o Strong understanding of software development lifecycle.
o At least two years working experience in GSM/UMTS/CDMA RF software development.
o Demonstrated commitment to quality.
o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across departments.
Skills/Experience:
o Strong debugging skills.
o Familiar with GCF/CDG1 RF certification procedures.
o Knowledge of CDMA/GSM RF standard.
o Must have excellent teamwork and independent decision making skills.
o Knowledge with Qualcomm’s MSM chipsets is a significant plus.
Education:
o B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
Travel:
o Minimum travel required for this position.
