8月9日，宏達電的執行長周永明發給員工一封「我將再起」的信，告訴所有的宏達電員
工「宏達電將重回成功之路」。為何周永明那麼有信心？答案揭曉，因為，宏達電有備而
來。
宏達電繼8月底於德國IFA展出中階手機Desire X，從9月起全球陸續開賣，接著，趕在明
日Apple發表iphone 5前，今日下午發表hTC J手機，這款手機係於今年5月與日本電信業
KDDI合作的客製機，開賣首周起就擠進日本前10大暢銷機種行列，堪稱宏達電在日本市場
史上最成功的機種，以超級拍攝功能見長。
而重頭戲是，宏達電將在9月19日於紐約時間早上11點舉行新機發表會，這項保密到家的
新機到底是什麼? 宏達電以「Join HTC to See What’s Next」為題發出邀請函。透露出
宏達電的重要下一步。
業者傳出，9月19日宏達電將發表有四款新手機，其中一款為WP8，另三款為Andriod手機
，包括HTC One X+，業者透露，此款首度將5吋以上大螢幕搭載於旗艦手機，且在軟硬體
規格上大幅提升，可望成為全球智慧型手機品牌中，硬體規格最頂級的旗艦機種，以力抗
Iphone 5及三星Note 2。不過，另有一說是，此次以WP8為全新的進攻，避開專利權，以
WP8為主力共發表三款，以創新的攝影功能與搭配Beats音效出發，擬發表代號為增你智
Zenith的高階WP8手機，以及中階的雅哥Accord、入門款的里約Rio，其中雅哥也將搭載
Beats Audio，成為全球首款內建Beats的WP8手機。
宏達電有備而來，除了在OneX+上，並寄望全新的Windows Phone8(簡稱為WP8)產品甚深，
除了準備好新機亮相，更與電信業者擴大合作。外界傳出，美國第四大電信業者T-Mobile
預計將於11月14日上市宏達電中階WP8手機8X，而第一大的AT ＆T、第二大的Verizon，也
都將上市宏達電WP8手機。
周永明說，「我們已找出需要改進的地方，且已有改進計畫。我們最近把部分組織優化，
確保有新的方法來努力改進，確保我們能專注於讓好點子發光發亮，並確保我們的產品上
市時就已經全方位完備。」宏達電過去多選在英國發表新機，但這次是第二次選在美國紐
約發表，頗有「從那裡跌倒，就從那裡站起來」味道。宏達電要從美國宣示「我將再起」
，而宏達電能否自谷底翻升，重拾台灣之光，9月份後見分曉。
