狠甩三星!台積大突破 2奈米超進度
台積電(2330)2奈米製程研發獲重大突破。供應鏈透露,有別於3奈米與5奈米採用鰭式
場效電晶體(FinFET)架構,台積電2奈米改採全新的多橋通道場效電晶體(MBCFET)架
構,研發進度超前,業界看好2023年下半年風險性試產良率即可達九成,助攻未來持續拿
下蘋果、輝達等大廠先進製程大單,狠甩三星。
半導體製程一路微縮,面臨物理極限,業界原憂心不利摩爾定律延續,也就是過往每18個
月推進一個製程時代的腳步受阻,使得台積電等半導體大廠先進製程發展受影響。
三星預計年底才投入5奈米製程,落後台積。隨著台積電在2奈米新製程節點有重大突破,
宣示台積電將可延續摩爾定律發展,更確定未來朝1奈米推進可能性大增,進一步擴大與
三星的差距。台積電向來不對訂單等動態置評,且迄今仍低調未對外透露2奈米製程細節
,僅表示2奈米將是全新架構。
業界人士指出,2020年台灣國際半導體展(SEMICON TAIWAN)將在本周三(23日)登場,
台積電董事長劉德音受邀進行主題演講,市場聚焦台積電先進製程研發對人工智慧(AI)
、第五代行動通訊(5G)推動影響,並關注劉德音釋出的台積電先進製程研發近況。
據悉,台積電去年成立2奈米專案研發團隊,尋找可行路徑進行開發,考量成本、設備相
容、技術成熟及效能表現等多項條件,2奈米採以環繞閘極(GAA)製程為基礎的MBCFET架
構,解決FinFET因製程微縮產生電流控制漏電的物理極限問題,在極紫外光(EUV)微顯
影技術提升,使台積電研發多年的奈米片(Nano Sheet)堆疊關鍵技術更為成熟,良率提
升進度較預期順利。
台積電總裁魏哲家日前於玉山科技協會晚宴專講時透露,台積電製程每前進一個世代,客
戶產品速度效能增加30%至40%,功耗可以降低20%至30%。
供應鏈認為,以台積電2奈米目前研發進度研判,2023年下半年可望進入風險性試產,
2024年正式量產。台積電先前揭示2奈米研發生產將落腳新竹寶山,規劃P1到P4四個超大
型晶圓廠,占地90多公頃。
業界認為,台積電2奈米良率及效能值得期待,推出即可望獲蘋果、輝達、高通、超微等
大客戶採用,陸續轉到2奈米投片。尤其輝達收購安謀(ARM)後,朝超級電腦、超大規模
資料中心等高速運算前進,未來將更仰賴與台積電合作。
