碩士分組是否選擇鋪面材料組? - 土木

各位前輩好，如題，小弟面臨選擇考碩士班要選擇哪一組的問題，在大學中的修課我發現材料組的鋪面方向是我比較喜歡也有心得的。
有聽該領域老師分享過業內心得，但知道他們一定只會說自己的好話，算是半信半疑。
學長進入這行的比較少，無法取得經驗
我爸比較有疑慮(平常都有在溝通，我很重視他的意見)，他問過他朋友知道這是比較冷門的部分，怕我以後工作太僵化不好找。
雖然大家都說碩士班只是學習研究的方法，跟之後就業沒有絕對關係，但總是影響之後發展。
想請問各位前輩，鋪面在台灣的發展有哪些?
目前只看到營造廠跟學術研究，會不會侷限了自己未來的發展?
