優點部分大多是優於台灣軟體業平均的年薪、優秀同事多,板上都看過。
所以來看一下缺點,這些在 PTT 似乎比較少資訊:
[新人部分]
You can't decide what software department you will join in.
你無法決定你會加入什麼部門。
--->這點許多 offer 文都有被提過,是很多人的 concern。
No training was provided upon hiring.
新進員工沒有什麼訓練。
[薪資部分]
Monthly salary is poor.
月薪很低。
--->照板上文章看起來新人大概是50~55K?
Annual salary depends on bonus, and bonus depends on how your manager likes you, not what you have done for the company.
年薪取決於分紅,而分紅取決於你的主管多喜歡你,而不是你為公司做了什麼。
The revenue of this company stops growing, and the total package(R&D) is dropping also. This company dose not pay attention to software engineering.
公司營收停止成長,RD 的年薪也下滑。公司不注重軟體工程。
[工作部分]
Don’t fight for you rights, or managers may fight you.
不要為你的權利而爭,否則主管會鬥你。
Tasks and responsibilities are indiscriminate, for example, an R&D may be asked to do customer services, or a backend engineer may be asked to do front end jobs.
工作和責任不明確,例如 RD 可能被叫去做客服的事情,後端工程師可能被叫去搞前端。
[產品部分]
Most of software departments don't want to create their own domain knowhow, the way they create production is google and find as many as open source project and porting to DSM, and draw a UI for those projects.
大部分軟體部門並沒有建立自己的 knowhow,而是 google 找一堆開源專案移植到 DSM,並為那些專案畫一些 UI。
--->這點比較有趣,所以 DSM 除了前端到底是用了多少開源專案兜起來的?

像是生產力工具部分之前感覺相似度極高,現在不曉得。
Chat 好像也跟 Slack 高度相似?
Integrate many software project but can not control them well.

In your R&D career(most of SW departments) , you won't learn and have a chance to use some modem techniques, such as CI/CD or other framework.
在你的 RD 生涯中,你沒有機會學到一些現代化的技術,例如 CI/CD。
Old-fashion software develop flow, still manual quality verification.
老舊的軟體開發流程,依然進行手動測試。
--->搭配上則說的學不到 CI/CD,真有這麼慘?
NO SOFTWARE ENGINEERING in this company.
在這間公司沒有軟體工程。
整體看下來對於管理階層、軟體工程有不少抱怨,不曉得可信度如何?
