Executive Summary

Globally, the development of solar photovoltaic stations has taken off
significantly the last decade. However, Africa has not seen major development
in this field despite the almost perfect conditions.
Once established, Sao Tome Solar Central (STSC) will be the first major solar
energy development in Africa and will currently be the largest Photovoltaic
solar station in Sub-Saharan Africa. They will place Sao Tome at the forefront
of solar energy development in Africa.
