Content Convergence Research Internship
The Advanced Technology Lab at the Samsung R&D Center San Jose, CA is offering research internship positions for qualified PhD/Ms students.
Responsibilities will include:
‧ Working with a team of experienced researchers and developers to devise innovative and practical convergence content solutions
‧ Implementing the solutions in a real-world validation system.
The qualified candidate will possess knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
‧ LOD (Linked Open Data)
‧ Semantic web/ ontology search
‧ Narrative
‧ SMIL
‧ Metadata
‧ Social Networking feeds
‧ Cloud Computing/ Distributed Computing.
‧ Social Network and Cloud services
‧ NER (Named Entity Recognition)
Hands-on experience in C/C++, Java, or other mainstream programming languages is required. PhD or Ms candidates in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields are preferred.
Samsung R&D emphasizes “Innovation through passion” philosophy and thrives in a fast-pace, results-driven environment. Team members will proactively participate in internal collaborations and constructive engagement with the academic and research community. Interns will work with a dynamic and passionate group of top-class scientists and engineers with a broad spectrum of research skills: semantic web, machine learning, social network analysis, big data and data analytics. We also encourage interns to
publish research result at reputable avenues.
