OPT STEM Extension 等待期拿到新的offer怎麼辦? - offer

11/17/2010 收到OPT STEM Extension Filing的收據

12/23/10 第一年的OPT EAD卡過期

目前還在原本的舊公司工作, 依照下面這條規定

If their post-completion OPT expires while the 17-month extension
application is pending, students who timely filed their STEM extension
applications with USCIS will receive an extension of employment
authorization after their current employment authorization expires,
but for no more than 180 days.

1/20/11 收到新公司的offer, 需要填I-9表格, 表格上說明

If an employee is unable to present a required document, the employee must
present an acceptable receipt in lieu of a document listed on the last page
of this firm. Receipts showing that a person has applied for an initial grant
of employment authorization, or for renewal of employment authorization,
are not acceptable.

但是我沒有收到任何有關這extension of employment authorization的通知,
網路上查詢我的case還只是在Initial Review, 請問這時候我該怎麼辦?

2/7/11 是我在新公司的First Day, 目前想到幾種情形

1. 打電話去USCIS問, 在等待我新的STEM EAD的同時,
extension of my current EAD card要如何取得?

2. STEM EAD等待期到今天已經過70天, 跟HR順延我的上班日期到三月,
希望之前能拿到新的EAD?

3. 或是在I-9上直接填上舊的EAD卡號, 把expired date自動加上180天?
ex 12/23/10 + 180天 = 6/23/11?
