I have been interviewing many engineers in the bay area and the weird
thing is only few of them are from Taiwan. I guess not many Taiwanese
students come here in the past couple of years. So I decided to bypass our
recruiters to access the more broad talent pool. I am tired of interviewing
engineers whose competence is far and away from what they put on their
resumes. Taiwanese are most likely humble and I want to give chances to
new graduates from Taiwan because I am going to spend time on training
them this time. By the way, I have proposed to my director about having
a recruiting trip to Taiwan. The plan is not solid yet. If you have friends
who are good in front end ASIC design/verification, build the connection
with me if you have interest, even if you are in Taiwan now. Thanks.
