技術類科公務員的名稱問題? - 薪水

請問有人跟我一樣是待技術類科的公務機關嗎?
我之前是委四，職位名稱是『技佐』。再上去就是技士、技正
最近換了新單位(其實是考上高考)，現在是委五等五（４個月訓練期結束後就是薦六）
職位名稱是『助理研究員』。再上去就是副研究員、研究員
請問同樣都是技術類科的單位，為什麼會有這樣不同的職位名稱？
聽說『研究員』這個系統的薪水比較高？（專業加給比較多？）是真的嗎....
還有大家知道這些名稱相對應的公務員等級是如何呢?
比如說，我是『助理研究員』是薦六，那副研究員是薦多少? 研究員又是薦多少?
就我的理解，技佐都是委任，技士以上才是薦任，技士應該是薦六，技正是薦八(?)以上？
最近被這些名稱弄的頭昏腦脹的，覺得好複雜 XD
請問有沒有人清楚這方面到底是怎樣啊...還是說哪邊有對照表我可以查 = =?
