標題能打的字真是太少了，今天來分享英國的工作機會，
雖然薪水跟各位大大年薪差不多而已（2.8m~3.6m 新台幣）
不過是今年少見的海外工作機會，工作地點位於英國劍橋附近的 Huntingdon
人口密度不若倫敦，疫情的影響可能也較小一些。

創立於 1977 年的 Meridian Audio，產品由研發到製造皆在英國，是英國第
一個製造 CD player 的公司，秉持著不斷創新的精神，現為汽車大廠
Jaguar、Land Rover 御用品牌，以一流數位技術打造無損音質。
據說用了 Meridian 音響，感覺車裡就像在演唱會現場！

工作內容
> 需有技術出身之專案管理與跨部門領導經驗，站上打造產品最前線。
> 工作地點位於英國劍橋，期待你有跨國合作經驗與順暢的溝通能力，偶爾
需要國際出差。
> 擅長協作，帶領包括：mechanical, electrical, firmware, software,
DSP, acoustics, test ...等團隊，規劃產品發展並確保團隊順利交付。

物價說明
Huntingdon 位於英國劍橋郡郊區，平均生活花費較台北高約 10%~20%，
但若不常外食，自煮的花費並不會比台北高太多，大宗開銷會落在租屋
跟交通。套房比台北略貴，但公寓或整層房子的價格與台北相當。詳情

[PRIMARY PURPOSE]
Main job functions (Note: In addition to these functions employees
are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be
required.) The Head of Engineering is responsible for the daily
management of the Engineering Department and the overall planning
& execution of a variety of product development programs and audio
technology research projects, from initial brief through to
delivery.
This role is responsible for project managing engineering
workstreams and works closely with the Operations/Production,
Product Management and Marketing teams to ensure overall
successful execution of business deliverables
The Head of Engineering must have considerable management
experience in a dynamic environment and demonstrate a high degree
of accountability.

international travel
[DIRECT REPORTS (If applicable)]
- Hardware & Acoustics team (4)
- Software team (3)
- Research & Applied Technology team (6)
- Engineering Test Manager (1)
[MAIN DUTIES]
> Leading, managing and shaping teams of multi-disciplinary
development and research engineers including: mechanical,
electrical, firmware, software, DSP, acoustics, test
> Working across the company with Operations/Production, Product
Management and Marketing, and also externally with Brand Partners
& other customers
> Ensuring full delivery of approved engineering projects and
developments, creating visibility and driving timely communication
at all levels of the Company
> Driving accountability, solving problems, removing roadblocks,
and proactively addressing risks or weaknesses to ensure all
engineering workstreams complete on time and within budget
> Developing, empowering & challenging individual contributors
in Engineering to deliver for the business
> Regular communication with executive management on engineering
status, risks and roadmaps
[SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCE LEVEL]
> Mandarin Chinese language skills advantageous
> Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering discipline
> Continuing education in management preferred
Experience required
> Considerable experience managing and collaborating with
Asian-based engineering vendors and Brand Partners
> Considerable experience leading and managing
multi-disciplinary engineering teams
> Good organisational skills – proven ability to manage complex
technical programs and to drive numerous programs simultaneously
> A strong background in Engineering Project Management with a
successful track record of new product introductions to internal &
external manufacturing operations, including engineering test
Particular aptitude/skill required
> Ability to develop productive working relationships at all
levels across the business
> Strong management capabilities, able to motivate diverse teams
& individuals
> Commercially aware and results driven
> Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
