Apple 5G自研晶片夢碎?郭明錤:開發可能失敗 訂單重回高通
Apple 明年iPhone 15重頭戲,即是搭載自研5G數據晶片(modem),但自研5G數據晶片出
師未捷。最強Apple分析師郭明錤爆料指出,Apple 5G自研數據晶片可能失敗,高通仍為
iPhone 5G晶片獨家供應商,今年下半年營收表現有望超乎市場預期。
Apple自行研發的5G數據機晶片(modem)、配套射頻IC已完成設計,今年1月傳出進行試
產及送樣,原定明年iPhone 15將搭載,將擺脫高通5G數據晶片限制,貫徹Apple 從頭到
尾自己來的中心意旨。
郭明錤最新調查指出,Apple自研 iPhone 5G 數據晶片開發可能已經失敗,因此高通將為
明年下半年iPhone 提供5G 數據晶片,且為獨家供應商。
換言之,高通在5G iPhone 訂單市佔率將達 100%,較先前估計的20%,大幅提升。因此高
通明年下半年至明年上半年營收,可能將超乎市場預期。郭明錤認為,Apple 5G數據晶片
計畫還是會持續,不過,高通先前預告Apple訂單的損失,其實已被其他業務成長抵銷。
事實上,Apple為了自家5G晶片煞費苦心,最早傳出從找來聯發科相關團隊助力開發,但
後來雙方合作似乎無疾而終,由於5G數據晶片開發耗時耗力,但現在看來倚賴高通5G數據
