繼微軟等科技大廠因應全球經濟動盪進行人事精簡之後,《華爾街日報》宣稱Meta與
Google內部也正以組織重整、人力轉移的手法縮減員工數
《華爾街日報》(Wall Street Journal,WSJ)本周引述消息來源報導,Meta與Google近
日正藉由組織重整的名義縮減人力,企圖不引起外界的注意。
根據報導,Meta計畫在未來幾個月裁減10%的支出,其中一個主要方式就是重整部門並縮
減人力,受到影響的部門員工有30天的時間可以申請內部的其它職位,若未成功則只能離
職。
WSJ並不確定此一Meta重整計畫的規模,但消息來源指出這應該只是Meta進一步裁員的前
奏。
Meta今年第二季出現了該公司史上的首度營收衰退,當時Meta創辦人暨執行長祖克柏(
Mark Zuckerberg)便說該公司在未來一年將會逐步降低人力的成長,也會縮減許多團隊
的規模,以及進行人力的配置與重組。WSJ的報導印證了此事已在進行中。
另一方面,Google也在上周大幅刪減旗下育成中心Area 120的專案,要求Area 120團隊的
半數員工在90天內申請其它部門的職缺,否則就必須離職。
有媒體分析,透過組織重整、循序漸進地縮減人力,是業者為了避免引起太多關注的裁員
手法,也是IBM或甲骨文常用的方式。至於微軟在7月時亦已承認因業務調整而刪減了部分
人力。
