取消申請RMA No.可以用call off嗎 - 國貿工作討論

老實說，我還沒遇過客戶寫取消是用call off，都是用cancel
我有查英英字典、線上cambridge字典、google，老實說，也不是很清楚兩者的界線
(現在沒有老美同事可以問了@@)

call off: to decide that a planned event, especially a sports event,
will not happen, or to end an activity because it is no longer useful
or possible

cancel: to decide that an organized event will not happen, or to stop
an order for goods or services that you no longer want

以上，還是可以看出你主管要你改成cancel是比較適合。


另外，以下的字常跟call off一起用，算是慣用語吧!?
campaign, deal, game, match, search, strike, talks, wedding


題外話，曾經看到一位客戶寫call-off order，在此是代表分批出貨的意思。
也只看過那一次，通常都看到寫partial或其它...
