為何板上外商討論度不高? - 面試

原因有幾個:一個是一家外商人數通常不像GG或MTK這麼多, 
一般來說在台灣有四五百人就已經算很多了,對比GG/MTK數千人
很多網路上的話題都炒不起來不然就是沒有共鳴。
另一個原因是,外商多半都是30歲+的老人
就跟我一樣,只會躲在螢幕背後看PTT文章科科笑。
 
有關薪水的建議,外商通常調薪幅度不大,一年調個5%就已經算是雞優生
但薪水base通常比台商高,所以面試時談的薪水很重要,談得不好之後
很難翻身,因為調薪不大,即使升遷也依然不大(<10%),所以會一路慘到底,
這時只能靠公司賺大錢發bonus/RSU或是被lay off時賺一筆了。
 
所以跟HR談薪水時,不要一看到月薪高台商好幾萬就高潮了,因為你之後幾年
,如果沒被火的話,也大概就領這樣了。要想辦法跟HR拉薪水,HR一直是公司
的惡勢力,負責替老外老闆cost reduction的,千萬不能輕易屈服。
 
說到外商好處,就是國際化,所以可以看到不同國家展現的鬥爭/推卸責任方式,
完整的世界觀就是這樣增進的。 話說現在很多外商裡面幾乎都老印跟老中了,其實
IC design house 是 India + China design house的縮寫。
