今天是最後一個工作日,年度考績或獎金都已經底定,
又是幾家歡樂幾家愁的時候,聊一下以前的經驗。
當年剛考上高考的時候,還是天真單純的小朋友,
記得一開始就被長官交辦科內重大專案業務,很認真努力完成,
週末還跑去加班,平常工作表現也很受到長官的肯定。
後來到了年底,雖然知道新人另考大多是乙,但因為自己是在總局,
前面幾個新人都是拿甲,想說自己表現也不錯,應該也可以期待,
結果沒想到最後還是吃鴨。
事後才知道,長官把名額給了一個平常很混的辦事員,那個人有時還會醉醺醺來上班,
他能拿甲只因為跟長官是20多年的老同事,年輕時還常一起喝酒,
這件事應該是我公職生涯第一個大的打擊。
後來調到一個小單位,包含我在內,只有一個主管跟兩個承辦,我是科員負責主要業務,
但每年分到單位的甲等名額通常只有一個,可想而知都是主任先拿,
結果三年內我又硬生生吞了兩個乙等,
最後調到功德院,工時更是破表,有一年瘋狂加班,最後結案數排前三名,
還被記好幾個嘉獎表揚,以為今年穩了,過年還安排去美國度假放鬆,
結果在過年封關前一天,剛到美國就收到考績乙等的通知,
氣到直接失眠,完全不必調時差XD
後來才領悟到,考績跟工作能力沒什麼直接關係,
重點還是有沒有得到長官「關愛的眼神」,
又或者,你自己就是那個長官,可以優先吃到這塊肉。
平常工作上面都會說是大家庭、好夥伴,
但等到打考績時,就只剩赤裸裸的弱肉強食。
我也體會到,自己個性終究不適合這種官場文化,
即使後來混得不錯,
辭職前還拿到連三甲,但我也沒興趣待在這種環境了。
想一想,我公職前五年還真的蠻坎坷的,工作表現優秀,
結果乙等拿的比甲等還多,
最後還能在十年內爬到九職等,也算是一件很神奇的事XD。
如今不用管這些鳥事了,自己的考績自己打,
反正年底的績效就會告訴我今年表現如何。
而且市場是很公平的,你也不必去刻意討好它或攀關係,
如果你表現好,它就會給你應有的評價及報酬。
從過去年終能多領好幾個月,好幾年,到最後能財務獨立,提早退休,
就是市場對我工作表現的最好回報。
只要有能力,以後能賺到的年終獎金是沒有上限的。
(奇怪離開很久了,但這些回憶還是記很清楚)
