I am not sure any company would be desperate enough to pay you
3-year's salary in advance. Ususally they would offer a 3- to 6-month
notice, which means if they are to fire you, you can walk away with at least
3- to 6-month salary.
My advice:
1. Be very sure of your NET income and pacakge break-down. A before-tax
overall number is tricky and can be deceiving.
2. Prepare for the worse case, where you're fired within the first 6 months.
If you're fine with the severance package and you can easily find another
job which pays you no less, you have nothing to worry about.
3. Don't sign the non-compete clause unless they compensate enough. Say, 80% of
salary within the non-compete duration.
4. Don't believe in stocks or options. In my case, I was offered stocks on
top of my annual package, but I automatically delted it from my expectation.
If you do get it, it's good; you don't, fine.
