The goal of the research is to establish and analyze how the fundamental
functions of the stock market, as related to resources distribution, price
discovery, risk management, liquidity and others play out in today’s
(2009-2014) emerging economy setting, using examples of China and Russia. We’
ll also draw general conclusions regarding other countries on comparable
stages of development.
