To know voodoo doll, we have to start with Voodoo, a religion originated
from Africa. It performs its spell via a medium --the voodoo doll. The
prototype of voodoo dolls are either made of beast bones or woven with
straws, along with a vicious facial expression. The devil look of the
dolls and grotesque myth of the rituals make Voodoo widely deemed as an
evil religion. Voodoo spells and dolls are thus, regarded as symbols of
evil curses.
However, Voodoo possess benign spells that we have overlooked, such as
those of protection, rememdy, love and so on. Therefore, Ethnic team, with
its command of handicraft, designs a series of Voodoo dolls in different
names and meanings. They turn the wrongful images people used to cast upon
Voodoo dolls into a brand-new one of novelty and delicacy.
