Compiling and analysing responses from the trials
After the trial, go back to the criteria for evaluation you established
beforehand, as your questions will have been based around this criteria.
Group the collected responses according to the criteria. Compare the
responses from the pilot candidates and assessors with those from other
people involved in the trial.
A clear picture should emerge regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the
assessment tool being piloted.
To define the key performance indicators to be met by the candidate.
A list of criteria for a candidate when being involved in a simulation, so
they know what particular areas will be assessed.
To be used as a recording and reporting mechanism.
A list of questions with space to record responses and feedback given, as
well as whether candidate is competent or not yet competent.
To provide guidance and structure for the candidate and assessor in
collecting evidence.
A checklist to be used in the demonstration of a series of tasks.
To guide and support the candidate in understanding and participating in
the assessment process.
Instructions to the candidate about how to be involved in a simulated
activity.
