Additionally, advanced search services, such as the faceted search (also
called faceted navigation, guided navigation, or parametric search) depicted
in Fig. 10 (page 25), have been implemented in order to provide hints for
a more ective location of the relevant documents by classifying the items
matching the query into signiant categories. For example, relevant subject
headings are suggested to ter the creations retrieved when looking for a
particular title word. This functionality provides quicker, more xible,
dynamic and accurate search results: currently, the BVMC website allows
to facet on authorities, subjects, dates or any combination of them. Since
the ters are displayed as bread crumbs, users can remove some facets from
the search ter whilst retaining others.
