好幾次都正準備應徵時發現文章不見了 - 翻譯

這是我第一次在翻譯板發文，大家好：）
之前接到一些case，都要感謝版主維護這個版的用心。

剛剛唸書唸到一半，想說該為寒假存點錢，
結果翻好一篇音樂教育的文章，正要寄時卻發現文章被刪除了...
真是想哭...

所以就乾脆把翻好的貼出來，有翻譯的人可以來討論看看是否有翻錯的地方...
ten little indians...查出來似乎是一個長篇故事中的一首短歌
蠻有趣的。

還有今天 去考了教育部的翻譯口譯測驗，口譯第二階段...
發現真的是不簡單啊...似乎經濟方面的題目不少...

As a kindergarten student in the 1970s, I learned the American counting song "Ten
Little Indians." I can recall the visual image of a dark skinned boy with a feathered
headdress in my music book and the excitement I felt at the potential of being
chosen to play the recurring eighth-note pattern on the drum.

一九七零年代時，就讀幼稚園的我學到了《十個印第安小孩》這首歌。腦海中，
我還能看到當時音樂課本上的圖片，一個戴著羽毛頭巾的黑皮膚小男孩。當時我
希望被選上鼓手，可以演奏那重複的八分音符旋律，那種興奮如今還歷歷在目。

Ten years later, when my sister was in kindergarten, she learned the same song from
the same music teacher, but the lyrics had changed: "ten little Indian boys" became
"ten little Indian boys and girls. " Aside from the fact that the song and illustration
were misrepresenting and propelling stereotypes of American Indian culture, the
modified lyrics demonstrated the teacher's heightened sensitivity to gender bias.

十年後，換我的妹妹上幼稚園了，她也從相同的音樂老師那學到了同樣的一首
歌，但是歌詞已經換了，從《十個印第安小男孩》變成了《十個印第安小男孩和
小女孩》。這首歌和插圖都誤導、並且加深了對美國印第安文化的成見，這暫且
不論，修正過後的歌詞顯示了，老師對於性別成見的高度敏感。
