請問一下大家
以下這句話怎麼翻比較好呢
給點意見吧

Some men have been virtuous blindly, others have speculated fantastically,
and others have been shrewd to bad purposes.

有些人品行端正，但是卻不去推究為什麼要這麼做；有些人深思熟慮，但卻流於幻想；
有有些人精明幹練，但卻把精明用到歪道上。

上面的翻譯覺得有點太冗長
想請問各位有啥不同看法
畢竟翻譯沒標準答案
我知是想看看有沒有更好的翻法
