關於環保議題的翻譯想請教 - 翻譯

新手首PO 請多指教:)

目前正在作英國翻譯研究所的入學作業

可是有些問題實在很難解決，所以希望各位前輩們不吝指教

有兩段翻譯我怎麼想也沒辦法改成通順的中文：

原文如下：

He said: "We need a 21st century solution to England's housing needs which
puts in place a network of green wedges, gaps and corridors, linking the
natural environment and people."

我的譯文：

他表示：「我們需要為英格蘭住房需求作出二十一世紀解決方案，能夠實現連結自然環境
與人類間介入、缺口及通道的綠化網絡」

Green wedges, gaps and corridors這段對我來說不好翻

另一段原文:

The Campaign to Protect Rural England said the proposals risked "unleashing
an American style swathe of car dependant sprawl that would change the face
of the country, undermining the clear separation between town and country and
efforts to secure urban renewal."

我的譯文:

“英格蘭鄉村保護運動”（CPRE，the Campaign to Protect Rural England）表示此提
案具有風險，「有如解開束縛美式般仰賴車子的擴張可能改變鄉村風貌，破壞城鎮與鄉村
間清楚分界，以及破壞城市再造的成果」
